Compliance Education During the Pandemic

Educational opportunities are one of the primary benefits of membership in the NAF Association. The Consumer Credit Compliance Certification Program introduced over seven years ago, has had over 900 people participate. This compliance education program has set the standard for the auto financing industry and is recognized as the acknowledged qualification when staffing compliance management positions.

During these trying times, companies must keep their compliance staff trained. We are excited to announce that the Consumer Credit Compliance Certification as a fully virtual educational program. Previously an in-person classroom-style session, Module 4 will now be delivered virtually with live access to the curriculum creators. This new platform allows the program to be a more economical and safe option.

The education of compliance management staff is only a part of the NAF Association’s commitment to the industry. Line staff, the people who directly deal with the public, must also continue to be educated in compliance to have the complete Compliance Management System that the CFPB is expecting auto finance companies to have. We have compliance education for five line functions; Collector, Underwriter, Funder, Customer Service, and Sales. These certificate programs educate the student on the laws and regulations that most directly affect the work they perform.
