Monday, April 6, 2020: RouteOne’s suite of innovative digital retail tools that enable dealers to conduct business remotely, and in full compliance with social distancing guidelines, is experiencing rapid adoption and earning new milestones. In response to current market conditions, multiple major finance sources have signed on to support RouteOne’s Remote eSigning feature, enabling remote customer execution through a secure and compliant portal. Finance sources that have opted to participate in Remote eSign represent approximately 75% of our total eContracting volume.
RouteOne has the industry’s largest network of eContracting finance sources with over 100 finance sources available, making three out of every four RouteOne Credit Applications eligible to be eContracted. In 2017, RouteOne processed the automotive finance industry’s first remotely signed indirect auto finance contract. Today, our Remote eSigning functionality has over 1,600 dealers subscribed and RouteOne has waived all dealer fees associated with use of the tool through May in support of our dealer customers through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Security and compliance are of the utmost concern at RouteOne and are built-in within every process and tool we deliver to the market. Dealers and their finance sources have the ability to provide their customers a secure online experience, while managing their compliance obligations. These digital retail tools are more important than ever for dealers in the current environment:
Online Credit Application – dealers can build in identity verification (OFAC and Red Flags) and Credit Score Disclosure Notices to ensure compliance as online deals are initiated by customers
eContracting – finance source-specific validation rules can be executed prior to customer signature and submission – ensuring compliance and reducing held offerings
Remote eSign –
• Multi-factor authentication is required each time a consumer enters the virtual signing room and they consent to eSign as the first step in the process to proceed
• Consumers have the ability to review all documents and sign exactly what they see
• Customers have the option to apply an electronic signature by ‘typing it’ or by ‘drawing it’ on a touch screen device
• Customers must sign the electronic contract documents by midnight on the same calendar day to ensure Truth In Lending Act compliance
Once signed by the customer, the dealer applies their signature and a final, fully executed copy of the electronic contract documents is made available for the customer to download or print, helping dealers manage their Regulation Z and M obligations
Electronic distribution and storage – dealers enjoy a fully electronic, paper-free, finance process and final contract packages are stored electronically
RouteOne offers a suite of tools that provide the flexibility of utilization in and outside of dealerships. Dealers can use RouteOne’s Digital Retail Services to accept online credit applications. The RouteOne Aftermarket Rating & Contracting service can be used to include aftermarket products within RouteOne eContracts, making them available for remote execution with Remote eSigning. Aftermarket menu presentations can be delivered to a consumer’s mobile device with MaximTrak’s GOTM.
We know these are critically challenging times for our dealer customers and have constructed several programs to support the industry. RouteOne’s core credit application, eContracting, and Aftermarket Rating & Contracting solutions always have and will continue to be at no charge to dealers. To further support dealers during these challenging times, all RouteOne Digital Retail subscription prices are currently reduced by 50%, MaximTrak GOTM is currently available at no charge to MaximTrak Menu subscribers, and dealer Remote eSigning fees are waived through May 31, 2020.
“Solutions to support dealers’ ability to conduct business outside of a dealership’s walls is something RouteOne has been working on for some time, and this has taken on new urgency during this crisis” stated Justin Oesterle, RouteOne’s Chief Executive Officer. “We saw utilization of Remote eSigning increase over 100% in March, as our dealer community sought out more progressive ways to engage their customers who were limited by travel restrictions in connection with COVID-19. Key finance sources are also responding through their support of Remote eSign. We also believe that offering this service at no charge to dealers is absolutely the right thing to do.”
Dealers or finance sources interested in optimizing their F&I experience by adding any of these remote features can contact RouteOne at 866.768.8301 or www.routeone.com.
